Raoul was composed by creating musical notation within a photograph from the cliffs of Cape Raoul (Tasmania) into a haunting 4 bar melody. Like a wave, the jazz style piece emerges from an avant-garde improvisation, repeating over and over until the ultimate climactic crash. It is a feature movement in Andrea Keeble's 'Suite Actuality' - 7 movements for string quartet, voice and visuals.
